I am deeply honored and humbled by the outpouring of support from the citizens of the 44th District.
As I set out earlier this year in launching my campaign for the House of Delegates, I pledged to be a strong, preserving, and effective representative for the people of the 44th District. The people have heard that message and now have given me the ultimate privilege to represent them at the State Capitol.
I cannot thank the voters, supporters, friends, family, and team enough. It's been many months of hard work and dedication of which it has been a joy to get to know so many people and work to advance our region. Thank you to everyone who has allowed us to excel.
I am extremely energized to get to work to advance our community here in Monongalia County.
I pledge to you today that I will work tirelessly with vibrancy, energy, an open-mind, and my results-oriented work ethic to accomplish great things. I will not let you down.
The new legislative session begins in a couple of months and I expect to hear from you as I represent the values, needs, and hopes of the 44th District. While the campaign is over, the work has just begun and I am ready to get started.
As Ronald Reagan once said, "Each generation goes further than the generation preceding it because it stands on the shoulders of that generation. You will have opportunities beyond anything we've ever known." Now, my friends we have many opportunities for us and I plan to carry them forward for the people of our district and state to provide a promising future for all.
This is truly one of the greatest honors of my life and now I look forward to working to make it of great benefit to yours. Thank you!

Amanda leads the ticket in Primary Election
On May 11th, Monongalia County spoke loud and clear. I was honored to be the leading candidate on the Republican ticket. Such success is only possible because of thoughtful contributions from people like you.
As the first EVER contested Republican primary in the 44th district, this has been a monumental journey and historic victory, but it was only the first step. In order to be successful in November, we must increase the pace. I would appreciate your support as I march forward with my campaign. This victory alone is not the future we seek; it is only the chance we have to make that future a reality.
It is through support of people like you that we have the opportunity to change the future of West Virginia. Invite friends and neighbors, to get involved and active. Together we can collectively make an impact on the future of your community, state and nation. I am excited at the possibility of serving you. Thank you for your encouragement, generous support, and prayers. I am grateful for your friendship and wish you blessings!

Amanda is featured on America's Right
Founded in 2008, America's Right has been recognized nationally as a leader of new ideas, new voices and fresh perspectives. Jeff Schreiber, founder and managing editor of America's Right, by his own admission, wasn't always on the right side of the traditional political spectrum. Or the correct side, for that matter.

Follow along, this one won't be too hard: Jeff is my cousin's husband. I love my cousin dearly and believe she has a blessing in this man. I am constantly amazed by his drive, ambition and his work ethic. He is the cream of the crop and I hope we see his name on a ballot one day. America couldn't hope for any better individual as a leader and decision maker than Jeff Schrieber.
A 2000 graduate from Auburn University, Jeff took his Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and began his professional career at the Seneca Daily Journal-Messenger, a small daily newspaper in the Golden Corner of South Carolina, where he covered county and city government and more in Pickens County and Clemson, SC. His paltry entry-level news reporter paycheck quickly and easily depleted by bills, beer and gasoline for his carbon-spewing 1984 Recaro-edition Pontiac Trans-Am, Jeff moved back to his childhood hometown in the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA.
For eight years after returning to the Philadelphia area, Jeff worked as a legal writer during the day, and for four of those eight years attended law school at night at Rutgers Law School in tropical Camden, NJ. He is expected to graduate in May 2010.
Jeff's ideological transformation happened over time, but began on a rainy afternoon in the summer of 2001 when Jeff picked up and read through "Bias," by Bernard Goldberg. It wasn't until January 2008 when, a reformed liberal democrat with nearly a decade on the wagon and having become increasingly tired of venting his political frustrations at work, at home and at school, Jeff established America's Right in hopes to advance a conservative-libertarian message and articulate the merits of freedom and liberty to any who would listen.
While he, his wife and his daughter still reside in the Philadelphia suburbs, Jeff and his family will be permanently relocating to Charleston, SC in June 2010, where he still desperately needs a post-bar exam job which doesn't entail memorizing and reciting the daily fish specials.
